Wonderful small and pretty standard place with competent staff at all times. Excellent location in Saintes, close to the pedestrian area, shops, restaurants, the theater, the Charente river. - Convenient for dining out in the evening.

I would say it's wonderful base for staying and exploring Saintes. The venue is in the centre of the town. La Terrasse, where you can eat lunch, is at a walking distance from the hotel. Every time in Saintes, I choose this place.

Clean and helpful staff good location. Used hotel for overnight stop whilst travelling through France.

I paid for an upgraded room when I arrived at the hotel, which was larger than normal rooms in France.
Two words: no elevator. After dragging my bag for 15 minutes from the station, I was given a room on the second floor which meant lifting it up 2 flights of steep, narrow stairs. There was no one to help. This hotel needs a small elevator.

Great location, quiet, very bright breakfast room opening onto courtyard. Nice shower and bathroom sink.
Room needed refreshing. When we returned at night, the room had a horrible sewer smell that was coming up out of the drain pipes in the bathroom. It was too late to disturb the staff and change rooms, so we slept with the window wide open on a very cold night. The response we received when we informed the manager of the problem the next day was that he had thought that the problem had been fixed. In other words, it had happened before.

Great location! It's near nice restaurants and cool spots to check out in the town center. You won't have to go far to find shops and more dining options. Plus, the St Pierre Cathedral is just 1 km away. 🏛️

Well located hotel with good staff. Stairs might be a problem for some. Bathrooms old fashioned, but spotlessly clean. Breakfast a bit disapointing.
